The road to approval has begun!

It sounds like the title of an exciting movie—and for us, it really feels that way! Today marks the official start of the competition season for our Tanco. Goal for 2025? Convince the inspection committee that Tanco deserves to be approved as a breeding stallion.

Our strategy? Delivering top performances and impressive results. What we can already check off our list:

Spotless X-rays of legs, back, and neck – Check!
Happy, motivated swimmers – Check!
A golden character – we’ve never met a gentler horse that loves to work with you this much – Check!
Record-breaking IBOP score – Check!
2024 PSG Champion – Check!

And today, an important milestone was on the agenda: the second qualification at a K&U competition, required for international starts. And? Check! Done, in the pocket!

Our sweet, black giant did it again! The scores varied quite a bit (well, a Friesian among warmbloods sometimes confuses the judges). There were 22 combinations in the class, with one judge placing us 4th, another 8th, and another 14th—with an incredible 5% difference between the highest and lowest score. But the most important thing? We scored over 65% and are now qualified for international competitions!

Double celebration today! Not only for Tanco’s success but also because Ivonne (Zoë’s mother) is celebrating her birthday! She was there cheering us on, and we want to put her in the spotlight: Happy Birthday, Ivonne!

What’s next? Training, cuddles, and preparing for the next competition. By mid-August, we want to have a rock-solid case for the judges. We’re working hard towards that goal!
