General Breeding Conditions Cayenne Stables

General

  • Cayenne Stables is available 7 days a week from 07:00 – 21:00 for questions and/or orders.
  • Our stallions are actively involved in sports. We recommend checking in advance if there are any scheduled competitions and if the stallion is available.
  • Our breeding stallions comply with the regulations and guidelines of the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA). All stallions are thoroughly checked annually before the start of the breeding season, including testing for CEM and EVA. All stallions are free from diseases and in perfect health.
  • By ordering and receiving semen, the mare owner agrees to our breeding and payment conditions.
  • In case of attempted fraud by the mare owner, an unconditional fine of €5000 excluding VAT per case will be charged, in addition to the owed breeding fee.

Ordering Semen

  • Preferably order one day in advance or no later than 08:00 on the desired delivery day via our phone number +31 6 8113 1407 or via info@cayennestables.nl.
  • During the first insemination, the correct details of the mare and owner must be provided.
  • Costs arising from late submission of mare details and pregnancies are the responsibility of the mare owner.
  • If the semen is intended for embryo transfer (ET) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), this must be indicated with the first order.

Liability

  • Cayenne Stables accepts no liability for damage, disease (such as EVA/CEM infection), or injury to people, animals, or vehicles.

Shipping

  • Transport is provided by a specialized courier, Hippo Express, at the mare owner’s expense. A maximum of three shipments of semen per ordered breeding applies.
  • If the mare is not pregnant after three shipments, the next insemination can take place at our stable at extra cost. Additional shipments are also possible at additional cost.

Registration

  • Cayenne Stables is registered as a stallion owner with KWPN, KFPS, and NRPS.
  • After full payment of the breeding fee and all other outstanding invoices and costs, the breeding will be registered with the studbooks where the stallion is registered as a breeding stallion.
  • The mare owner must register the foal with the studbook themselves via the respective studbook’s website.

Payment Conditions

  • The breeding fee is exclusive of VAT, shipping costs, studbook, and contribution fees.
  • Invoicing of the breeding fee and any costs incurred at that time will take place no later than two weeks after the first shipment.
  • We apply a maximum payment term of 14 days. In case of exceeding the payment term, legal reminder and collection costs will be charged.
  • If your mare is barren in 2024 and is presented to us again in 2025, you will receive a 50% reduction on the breeding fee, provided you have paid the full breeding fee and other costs in 2024.
  • This barren reduction only applies with a valid veterinarian statement that must be submitted before October 1.
