A long Ascension weekend is perfect for dressage competitions, and many combinations took to the road last weekend, including several Friesian gems.
Kadervorming Schijndel
The highest score was achieved by Zoë Kuintjes and Tanco fan Berltsum Ster Sport Elite A (Epke 474) during the Kadervorming in Schijndel on Thursday, May 9, where they scored 67.01% in the Prix St. Georges. This score earned them a sixth place, also securing a prize for the combination from Aalsmeer.
Subtop Houten
In Houten, Utrecht, Hennie Roffel competed two days in a row with Gentleman Jack TKJ (Hessel 480) and Remy Martin TKJ (Alwin 469). On Friday, May 10, Gentleman Jack kicked off in the Prix St. Georges, achieving a fine score of 66.47% and a fifth place with a prize. On Saturday, May 11, it was Remy Martin’s turn, who scored 66.40% in the same class, securing a second place. Given these scores, both gentlemen are now quite evenly matched.
Oud-Beijerlandse Paardendagen
The Friesian dressage combinations were mainly in the South this weekend as Laura Roling and Ilmar Poll (Anders 452) also showed their best side in Oud-Beijerland, South Holland. The combination from Alphen achieved 61.03% in the Prix St. Georges.
